Ben and Melanie Schlabach of Harrisonburg , VA formed Mild Winter in the fall of 2006. They had each written several songs separately, and decided to complete them together. In 2007 they invited a friend, Nik Combs, to help round out their sound, and collectively released their new CD, A Wanderer's Home this past February. With an indie-folk sound, Nik and Ben's past music experiences bring a “college” appeal to this young group. It's back porch folk music, and it works.
